Campus and Community
From the dean
It is with great enthusiasm that I stepped into the role of interim dean of the VCU School of Nursing this past spring. This is an exciting period of transformation for the school. I am inspired by the commitment and resilience of our school community to engage in significant activities and endeavors throughout this transition. From the redesign of our nursing curriculum and changes in our program offerings and enrollment, to our rising national research rankings, we are steadfastly focused on championing health and well-being through the power of nursing education, discovery and practice.
This issue of our magazine highlights the incredible momentum at the school—expanded academic programs, new research, and innovative faculty initiatives are just the beginning. I am pleased to walk this journey along with you as we build on these successes.
Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement of the school. Together, we will continue to shape the future of nursing.
